Cardinal with Wooden Base

This one of a kind Cardinal is drafted from life, with actual color modeling and hand carved details for hilighting all of the rich color of these red beauties. I never carve any two the same. I am currently using a salvaged Peach Tree for the wooden bases. When that is no longer available, I will find something equally lovely. The Peach wood is limited. I added a picture of a commission I got for two of these. Don't they look lovely in groups? 10" long, approx 8" tall. Cardinal is removable from post for cleaning/ storage.
