Kimono was born out of my love of antique objects created with incredible care. In the mid 90's, I was antique shopping and found an antique men's blue silk kimono that was fully embroidered . To this day, it is still one of my favorite finds. The color palette and theme is a tribute to beautiful things!
This piece was a true labor of love, with 9 firings total to achieve this deep, layering effect. The final details, I hand carved with great care.
Framed, this piece is exactly 20" and ready to hang.
