Round Peg in a Square Hole
Round Peg in a Square Hole is another autobiographical piece. The last 7 years of my life have been some of the most transformational years of my life.
While processing and growing in this time, I studied much about the principal of Liminal Space. You are definitely no longer where you were, but not yet at the place you know you are headed to.
I have many themes for the passage of time in this piece. There are bright yellow spots around the center, representing the hands on a clock. The foliage around the center section changes color as it circles, speaking of seasons. The cogwheels in the center address the fact that anything outside of God's Divine timing, is simply NOT the time. The 4 distinct pools in the corners are the accumulations of blessing as we wait for it all to come together. It is a harrowing, but necessary process if we are to fully become all we were made for in this life. God has our tomorrow handled, but cooperation is key. That is hard for a "do-er" like me, but the absolute lynchpin to progress.
This piece is a free standing piece. I suspended the glass in a 4.5" wide frame. Framed, measures 22.5" across.
Shipping and insurance is included in price in the U.S.
